You May Have

GLOEOCAPSA MAGMA!

The plague that infects homes in nearly

80 percent of the United States

Gloeocapsa Magma is a species of algae that causes black streaking and discoloration on asphalt/fiberglass shingles. The black staining on your roof is caused by the growth of algae and fungus spoors that have landed on your roof. This alga produces its own energy source and feeds on inorganic materials, such as the materials in shingles.

Feeds? Yes, this algae is alive and eating your roof shingles and spreading on your roof. All the algae will need to grow and help them turn your whole roof black is the nutrients from both the dirt on your roof and the limestone granules on the shingles.

There are two common mistakes often used to treat this problem:

  1. Pressure Washing: Pressure Washing DAMAGES your shingles!
  2. Using the wrong chemicals: This can kill and damage your shrubs as it washes from the roof.

Vinyl siding BEFORE Allclean

Vinyl siding AFTER Allclean!
Well over 90% of all jobs do not require high pressure for cleaning. In fact, many manufacturers specifically state: "do not use high pressure when cleaning our products". This includes brick, roof shingles, wood decks, stucco and vinyl siding. Historical preservation architects specify 500 psi or less when cleaning historical edifices and monuments. Unless you are planning to pop bubble gum off cement, clean mud off heavy equipment or get into water jet demolition, there really is no reason to ever use high pressure. Our company has one 4000 psi pressure washer that is only used on large flat surfaces such as parking lots. Even at that, most of the time we use our low pressure equipment for small jobs such as driveways.

We are proud of the results our Allclean process
gives our customers!
